Her birthplace was Roswell on the 29th of March 1985. Her given name was Gerina Mendoza. Gerina Stevenson, who is the Mexican mother of Rita Stevenson Stevenson and Alan Stevenson Stevenson, was born in Mexico. Her parents are Mexican as well as American. Since her early years the desire for her to be engaged in sport was strong. Gerina played golf in her first game at age 15. Gerina attended Goddard High School for her higher education in high school. She was the winner of her place in the New Mexico State Golf Tournament during her time in high school. She also had her volleyball skills recognized at the national level. She went to in the University of Texas in 2003. While in her senior years, she won each tournament which she participated in. In her time at college, she received the Conference USA Player of The Year award and the UTEP Female Sports Athelete Award.
