Amy Lou Adams, full name Amy Lou Adams (born 20 August 1974 in Aviano Italy), American actress. Amy Lou Adams is famous for portraying naive characters that are engaging and relatable. Adams was the daughter of a U.S. Army officer in Italy and then grew up within Castle Rock Colorado. In the late 1990s, she started professional dance and acting in Boulder's Dinner Theatre and Country Dinner Playhouse. She then moved to Minnesota and was cast in Drop Dead Gorgeous, a mock documentary film that explored beauty contests. Following her successful screen debut where she played an annoying but pleasant contestant, Janet moved to Los Angeles where she began a professional acting career.
