Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onesti] Romania). She was the first gymnast to score a perfect 10 in an Olympic occasion. Bela Karrolyi was a Romanian gymnastics instructor, who later became Comaneci's coach who first came across Comaneci at the age of six. The first time she competed was at the National Junior Championships in where she placed 13th in 1969. In 1970, she took home the title. In her very first international competition in 1972, she won the event with three gold medals. When she competed for the first time as a senior athlete in the year 1975, she beat out Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva who was a five-time European champion winning four gold and one silver medal. She won the American Cup in New York City in 1976 and became the first woman in history to complete the backward double salto in an unmounting from uneven bars parallel to each other. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The story of Carol Wayne into the realm of entertainment started as a teenager. Together with her sister Nina Wayne, she joined touring entertainment programs called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol entered the entertainment industry as a teenager. In her early years Carol was an ice figure skater in traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. The shows featured ice skating with theatrical shows.
